Beach, dunes and sand: South Australia
Date and time:  31st October, 0900 

Trip Standard:  Easy-Medium. 

Formal club training not required but vehicle must meet minimum specification, listed below.

Description:  Scenic cruise from Southend towards Carpenter's Rocks via the beaches and inland tracks with no particular place to be or when, so it will be a decomratic kind of trip. 

This is the area I ran the sand driving training in earlier in the year, but this time we're not doing training.  Nevertheless if there is interest I will run a short sand recovery session if someone doesn't helpfully arrange things by themselves.  This trip is suitable for beginners with stock 4WDs.

We will basecamp at Southend and do two daytrips, I'll be in the Bush Camp area but you can choose the Caravan Park.https://www.southendtouristpark.com/caravanpark. 

No fixed plan but Saturday will probably head south towards Carpenters, then Sunday north towards Beachport.  Might do dinner on the beach as well if the weather is good. 

You will need food & water for the day. If this trip is over-subscribed I will see if anyone wants to lead a duplicate trip using my routes, so add your name to the waitlist, even if full.  

Weather:  Doesn’t matter, going anyway.

Equipment: 
Mandatory: Tyre pressure gauge, shovel, Shovel Operations Professional, UHF handheld radio. 
Preferred: 4x traction ramps, air compressor, sand flag, snatch strap, 2nd shovel, in-car UHF radio. If you do not have a sand flag you will be running towards the back of the convoy.
