Date and time: Sat 5 December - Sun 6th December.
Gathering scheduled to start at 4pm - Some people have said they will be there mid-late morning. Feel free to join them and take part in some activities in the afternoon.
Description: Now that we are allowed to meet in sufficient numbers, we can call a quick Christmas party.
This is an informal gathering, with the only scheduled activities being Happy Hour at 4pm and Dinner gathering at 6pm (Dinner is BYO food and drink or order food from Black Spur's takeaway menu).
However, we are planning some activities on the Saturday afternoon, such as some technical and training discussions/refreshers, an opportunity for some winching practice (make sure it still works!), the use of the Black Spur's training circuit and, of course, the option to go for a drive.
Timings:
- People can start arriving on Saturday morning - might manage a short afternoon trip or two.
- Happy Hour at 4pm
- Dinner gathering at 6pm (giving people time to prepare/cook their dinner)
- After dinner - catching up around the camp fire.
- Overnight camping is available for those that want to stay.
- Sunday chilled day with friends - Leave when you want or go on a short trip.
We were originally planning to meet at Patrick Walsh's place in Kyneton but it didn't quite comply with the current COVID restrictions, so we moved to next to the Black Spur Inn.
We will meet and camp on a grassy area next to the Black Spur Inn - note the Black Spur Inn is already at it's COVID capacity so we may be not be able to access the Inn facilities - Therefore, the club is providing two portaloos for Saturday and Sunday.
As per the COVID rules of the day, there will be a restriction of numbers and care must be made to maintain social distance where possible, including masks if we can't socially distance
We shall be running this event in strict numbers - Current max available people is 50 people. Please sign-up and add the number of additional guests that will be with you.
Unfortunately, we can only include active members and their families.
So, no Temporary Members.
Equipment: If stoping there on the Saturday evening - Camping gear, food, refreshments, and water for the weekend.
If going on the surrounding 4x4 tracks, the usual recovery gear applies.
Distance: Approximately 90 km from Melbourne.
Sign-ups: When you sign up to this, you must add anyone else in your party as guests, including partner and children over 12 months old. This is to ensure the number of people will be kept within the COVID restrictions. If they're not named on your registration and we have reached our maximum capacity, then they might not be allowed to take part.
People limit: Strict 50 people (set to 45 for now, so get on the waitlist because the last 5 will likely be released).
Looks like we'll be over subscribed - so, if you can't make it, please cancel ASAP to release your spot(s) for others.
Contact us if you need to add a guest, do NOT cancel then re-register. Waitlist management is automatic, so someone on the waitlist might be automatically slotted into your space.
