Wyperfeld:

Wonga camp ground about 40km west of Hopetoun, just follow the signs to Wyperfeld National Park. It is a National Park, so no pets, firearms etc. are allowed. The plan is to meet at Wyperfeld Wonga camp around Lunch time on Good Friday. And maybe do a walk from the camp ground leaving at 2.30 pm for those interested. Saturday we will drive north to Snow drift sand due and up to the pink lakes if time permits. Sunday will be a long day travelling west and we will need an early start.

The Campground is quite large and well spread out and I will try and arrive early and find a spot big enough for the group, my car is a Black Land Rover Discovery 4 and I have an Ultimate camper trailer.

The Camp ground has drop toilets but you will need to bring your own water for drinking and washing. These days there are no rubbish bins so we need to take our rubbish out with us.

There are fire pits in Wonga but we are asked to bring your own fire wood and not collect it in the Park

Please note that there is no mobile reception once you reach the campground

Camping fees:

Wonga Campground; Bookings can be made on line at Parks Victoria website. Note: you can book up to 6 people and 3 cars per site.
