Land Rover Terrain Response Experience Day

Date and time:  Saturday, 14 September –9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Description:  This is a 1 day practical event following the LR Essendon D3/D4 Tech day.  Unfortunately, the theory part did not cover as much ground as we would have liked.   There will possibly be a theory / discussion session in Melbourne prior to the day if enough interest.

The aim of this day is to review some of the theories and put them into practice.

Some of the things that we will cover will include:

  1. How to release a jammed Electronic Park Brake (EPB).
  2. How to shift PARK to NEUTRAL in a car without battery power.
  3. How to Hard Reset the car.
  4. Front and rear speed sensors - LLAMS and RODS
  5. Brake light switch (a fault here can disrupt the entire CANBUS!)
  6. Emergency Repair of EAS (Electronic Air Suspension) System
  7. Tricking the Car into Emergency and Extended height
  8. Underbody protection - Location of the compressor? How do we protect it?
  9. OBD fault code reader.
  10. Vulnerable underbody electrical connections
Terrain Response System:
  1. How does it work?
  2. How and when to use the TR Modes? - normal, sand, snow, rock crawl, grass, mud ruts
  3. Central and rear E-Lockers
  4. ES – On or Off?

Hill descent versus driving through the brakes

Demonstrate on the course how to use the TR specifically for these conditions
