Grampians National Park base camp 26-28 January 2018
We will be doing off road day trips on Friday and Saturday, with a half day trip on Sunday for those interested. The trip was undertaken 2 years ago with an intention to now travel on some of the other roads and tracks where possible to those travelled on the previous trip . We will visit Aboriginal art sites, scenic lookouts, waterfalls and historical mining areas and other areas of relevance to the history of the Grampians. The trips are within the Parks Victoria Grampians Drive Iconic 4WD Adventures. The best map is the Grampians SV map.
The campground has allocated campsites booked through the Parks Victoria website suitable for tents, camper tailers or off road caravans. There are non- flush toilets to a good standard. Water needs to be brought in. Fireplaces are provided.
It is at the end of, but still in the school holidays and being a long weekend, sites will need to be booked as soon as possible. If wishing to attend this trip, please register as soon as possible on the club website. Following registration the trip leader will contact the attendee to then make a booking. The sites accommodate up to 6 people and one vehicle per site with a fee for additional vehicles so sites can have multiple families if preferred. Sites are $29.30 per night including one vehicle . Additional vehicle is $9.70 per night or additional two vehicles is $19.40 per night. If all sites become booked, then there may be an opportunity to share a site previously booked by a club member. Contact Graeme if you wish to take up this option.
