If you have been invited to take part in a club trip or event (whether you are a passenger or driving a car), you need to register as a Temporary Member PRIOR to starting the trip.
Also, if you are driving your car, you MUST discuss your participation with the Trip Leader. It is a condition of inclusion that the trip leader is consulted and confirms that there is space on the convoy and the Temp Member has sufficient experience/equipment for the trip.
IMPORTANT: It's a legal requirement for all people participating in trips to be named on our insurance policy. So if you have not completed the Temporary Membership application, you will not be allowed to join the trip.
A Temporary Membership form should be completed for all club trips when a non-member or visitor participates / attends a Club trip; either as a driver or as a passenger travelling in a member’s vehicle. The form should be completed and payment made to the club well before the date of the trip. This form covers either a single member, or all members of one family.
Family = partners living in the same home, and dependent children (not grandchildren)
