DESCRIPTION:https://www.rangeroverclub.org.au/event-3075030\n\n\n\n       Description:   This is a day trip targeted at recently trained drivers (4 places have been reserved- if you’re newly trained and the trip appears full give me a call or send me an email and I’ll add you in).    The Wombat State Forest is a beautiful area\, north west of Melbourne with a rich historic history of gold mining and timber milling.  The trip follows a network of\, at times\, challenging 4WD tracks through the Wombat State Forest\, west of Blackwood. \n    The trip is classified as a medium standard\, and you’ll be encountering some steep  narrow tracks\, bog holes\, and mud ruts which can be  slippery in wet conditions.\nTake lunch and morning tea and appropriate clothing to suit the weather on the day..      \n      Weather:  Potentially cold and wet. Bring appropriate clothing and footwear.      \n      Equipment:      Snatch straps\, shackles\, dampener\, compressor\, shovel\, UHF radio etc. with low range and AT tyres and good vehicle ground clearance.\n     Trip Standard: Medium -  some steep\, low-range hill climbs and some rocky tracks!\n     Fuel: fuel ex- Melbourne as Blackwood is a sleepy hollow on a Sunday morning.         \n      Distance: Approx. 70km      \n      Convoy limit: 10 vehicles        \n      Meetup arrangements for commencement of trip: We will meet at the Blackwood General Store\, in the middle of Blackwood (it's only a little town) for a 09:00 departure.      \n      We will aim to finish about 4.00pm back in Blackwood          \n      Trip Leaders: Mark Bown – 0437251645 – mark.bown@csiro.au   \n\n
