The Deddick Trail – Snowy River NP

Easter Long Weekend. Starting out from Buchan, we will be exploring the Snowy River National Park with an itinerary that will include Jackson’s Crossing, the iconic Deddick Trail and McKillops Bridge. There will be spectacular scenery, some challenging driving with long steep climbs and descents, and the Snowy River. The trip will conclude around midday on Easter Monday allowing time to be back in Melbourne before evening.

Meeting Place:  We will meet in Buchan (360km from Melbourne) at 09:00 on Friday April 2nd (exact location to be confirmed).

Trip Standard:  Medium with possible hard sections depending on weather conditions. All terrain tyres, snatch’em strap and shackles are essential. The trip will not be suitable for camper trailers.

Fuel:  Full tank in Buchan. No fuel will be available on route.

Clothing:  Be prepared for a variety of weather – including wet and cold conditions.

Camping:  Expect to bush camp for at least one night.

Convoy limit:  Camping spaces may be limited so the convoy will be restricted to a maximum of seven vehicles.
