On the evening of 20th March, Trail Riders of Victoria is celebrating their 80th birthday at their Strath Creek property. Ronn Gunn, TRV Vice President and RRCV member, has invited us to the festivities.
The TRV was founded in 1930 by a group of men that had served in WW1 Light Horse. They are a horse trail riding club that enjoys weekends away in most of the locations that the RRCV would also have activities: High Country camps, Omeo, Licola. They visit Sheep Yard and local areas at Narbethong usually stay at the Black Spur Inn.
On the 20th March 2010 TRV are having a Birthday celebration at their property in Strath Creek. It will be catered for cost per person of $35.00. They have a Country and Western Band and a liquor licence to sell alcohol and drinks (not BYO). If people want to camp they have a large area set aside for tents caravans or swags $15 to stay overnight.
On the Sunday afterwards, Ron will be running a day trip from the property that will return to Strath Creek.
