Stolen member's vehicle - please keep a lookout...

Some bad luck just before Christmas which RRCV members may be able to help with...

About 10.30pm on Tuesday 22nd December, a Nissan 4WD ute and large horse trailer were stolen from Ron Gunn’s factory premises in Macquarie place, Boronia.  They were last seen on freeway cameras (Eastlink and Monash) around midnight heading towards the Mornington Peninsula.

Many of you will know Matthew Gunn's vehicle.  The details are:

  • Nissan Patrol diesel ute, registeration TKO 337
  • White cabin, black drop side tray with cover, twin exhausts up rear of cabin,
  • “fat” off road tyres, suspension and body lift,
  • R M Williams “longhorn” decal across tailgate,
  • High mounted driving lights above cabin.

This is quite a distinctive vehicle. When stolen, it was towing a large white horse float with green striping along body. The float was filled with carpet cleaning equipment as Ron is moving to another factory.

Please keep an eye out for this vehicle. If anyone can offer sightings or information to police it would be greatly appreciated by Ron, Judy and Matthew. If you do see it, call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or your local police station.
