30th Anniversary Simpson Desert Crossing route firmed up...

2009 is the 30th Anniversary of the RRCV's first French Line crossing of the Simpson Desert.  Michael Richmond is eminently qualified to run a trip to celebrate... he was after all, on that first trip.  Yes, he was a bit younger and he let Dad do most of the driving - but he was there nonetheless!

Michael has been busy planning and has provided updated information for the trip page.  It's an exciting looking itinerary.

The trip will set off from Innaminka, travel through Warburton Crossing and across the Simpson to Mt Dare to Alice Springs, then west into the Macdonnell Ranges and finishing in Uluru.  There is more detail of course on the trip page.

The trip sets off on 22 September and is 10 days all up.  But, it can also cater for people with less time who only want to do the Simpson crossing.

This is a great opportunity for an outback trip with one of he club's most experienced Trip Leaders.

Check it out on the 30th Anniversary Simpson Desert Crossing page - more information and signups.

Another classic RRCV outback trip...
