The RRCV is coordinating FWDV Rural Response Group Bushfire Recovery activities in the Healesville – Narbethong – Marysville area. This trip will focus on "Landcare" activities, helping to manage holly in the recovering forests.   We are seeking help with these activities on either or both days.

Dates: 30 & 31 May 2009

Meeting place and time for both days: 9.00 AM at the Black Spur Inn, Maroondah Highway, Narbethong.

Accommodation: We will be staying overnight on Saturday at the Black Spur Inn.

You can book a motel style room or bunk in the bunkhouse. Camping at the back of the property is free.  There is more info about accommodation here: http://www.blackspurinn.com.au/. Please contact the hotel direct on 5963 7121 if you would like a room or bunk - mention you are on the RRCV Cleanup trip.

Meals: Breakfast and dinner will be available for purchase from the hotel. Please bring along your lunches and refreshments for during the day.

Activities: This weekend we will be focusing on tree removal, damaged fence removal and Landcare. Trees: If you have a chain saw and the appropriate safety gear please bring it all along.
