First Aid is MY responsibility.
This important course has been re-scheduled for the weekend of 2-3 August 2008 at Jim & Di Kennedy’s Black Spur Inn Hotel, Maroondah Highway, Narbethong. We'll have access to a training room, workshop and wide open spaces.
The Course will be conducted on the Saturday by an Ambulance Paramedic and Sunday devoted to practical aspects such as extricating injured persons from vehicles, under trees or rocks etc, difficulties with radio communications, vehicle emergencies (such as preventing fires in damaged vehicles), airstrip and landing zone preparation, and more.
Participants may choose to travel both days to the hotel, or stay overnight. There are a number of accommodation options - very comfortable rooms in the Hotel, the bunkhouse and some limited caravan or camping may be possible there or at the nearby caravan park. Obviously meals are available at the hotel as well as tea and coffee during the training sessions.
The cost is $187.00 per person (which more than favourably compares to courses run by TAFE and elsewhere), but with a minimum of 10 persons. Because the course cannot be cancelled at the last minute, and the Club will be responsible for the costs, it will be necessary for full payment to be made by late July.
You need to act now to make a booking and to let this course proceed.
