Simpson Desert spring repair

The Simpson Desert Trip wound up in Parachilna Gorge on Saturday, after a wonderful two week trip organised by expedition leaders Phill and Jane Collyer. 

The 2008 RRCV Simpson trip is having a lay day today, after reaching Birdsville last night.  The crossing was a successful one, despite some serious mechanincal failures along the way.  And tomorrow we head off on the second part of the trip - the fantastic northern Flinders Ranges.

Graeme Chapman from LROCV and the Nissan 4x4 Club still has some vacancies on some of his "2008 Big Outback Trips" for Victorian 4X4 Club Members.  Here is his notice if you are interested:

UPDATE....

Due to a timing issue the magazine is not ready for collating this week...  So, collating on Wed 26 march is cancelled.  Magazines will be distributed at the club night next week and those not collected will be posted out. 

After the final check of the route this weekend all will be ready for RRCV Navex 2008 on Saturday week - 1st March.   All that is left now is for a few more members to sign up and come along...
