Phill & Jane Collyer are leading a trip to the Donnelly's Creek area. Donnelly’s Creek is an old gold mining area and there are many relics to be seen. The trip will revisit parts of a trip from 2004.

Meeting Time & Place:
9:15am at North Gardens Camping Ground, Walhalla. This ground is on the north side of Walhalla alongside the main road.
Walhalla is 181km east of Melbourne. Take Princes Hwy to Moe, head north through Erica, turn east to Rawson and follow Walhalla Road. The road is quite windy when one gets into the hills.

Essentials:
Vehicle in sound mechanical condition; full tank ex-Moe (ex-Melbourne for diesels). Ensure you have recovery gear and basic spares.
Trip Notes
From Walhalla, we will head north towards the Donnelly’s Creek area. There are some challenging tracks in the area – the weather will determine which we challenge. Donnelly’s Creek is an old gold mining area and there are many relics to be seen. If time permits we will walk into to see the Morning Star waterwheel.
We will camp in the area of Donnelly’s Creek on the Saturday night. If permitted, we will have a campfire on the Saturday night. This area can be cold – please bring appropriate clothing.
