Phill & Jane Collyer are leading a trip to the Donnelly's Creek area. Donnelly’s Creek is an old gold mining area and there are many relics to be seen. The trip will revisit parts of a trip from 2004.

The Pyrenees State Forest is located 220kms north west of Melbourne, west of Avoca. Rugged mountain ranges with spectacular views, the Pyrenees are fine examples of natural and cultural history. European settlement began in the 1840s. Most of the Pyrenees was prospected and mined after gold was discovered in October 1854.

Peter Bladin and Catherine Lander are taking a long weekend journey into the High Country, starting near Mansfield and visiting Huts and areas damaged in the fires and floods. And, some high altitude that offers a good chance of snow.

The Navex team found some nice tracks with some good views – so much so that we thought it worthwhile revisiting for a day trip. Black Range State Forest is to the north of Toolangi forest. After lunch we will tour some areas of the Toolangi forest.
